The Debt Movement is Over. Or is it?

Mental barrierThe 90 days has come to end and the Debt Movement is over.  Or is it?

I had a VERY ambitious goal to help people pay off $10 million of debt in 90 days.   I really believed we could pull it off.

I never doubted it for a second.

But we missed our goal.

I could be upset that we came up short.   I could make myself believe that I failed.

That we failed.

That might be the easy way out, but I know better.

As a group, we paid off over $415,000 of debt.

I know that’s nowhere close to $10 million but that’s still a HUGE number.

Over $400,000 of debt gone!

It’s Always Been About You

I wanted the Debt Movement to really help people.  To show them that there is hope after a life of drowning in debt.

It’s because of your emails and testimonies that I know this movement HAS changed people’s lives.

Here’s one awesome example from Chriseni.

Since joining the Debt Movement, we have paid off $1,600.00 in personal loans! This has been really exciting. We also reduced our spending with our phone bill and the bill is much cheaper. I love being a part of this program. It really motivates you to put in hard work and reap great rewards!

Her story is one of many that Carrie and I received.  Hearing these stories is sole reason why I started this.

Debt Movement Future

How can I just stop the Debt Movement?  The simple answer is I can’t.

YOU mean too much to me.  And debt isn’t going away anytime soon.

I’m not exactly sure how the movement will continue, but still plan on blog posts and Google Hangouts to come.  Also expect a survey coming to you soon that will give me feedback on what you need to get out of debt.

The Last Debt Scholarship Survey

For those of you that are still in the running for the Debt Scholarships, here is your last assignment.  This time it’s not a series of questions, it’s one essay.   The topic is sharing your debt journey.   Be sure to read the directions before you get started.

Once we receive the submissions, I’ll forward the best ones (in conjunction with your past surveys) and let the Debt Scholarship sponsors have the final say.  The winners won’t be announced all at once.  Rather over a several week process.   Largely because it’s going to take a while to get through all of them.

If you have any questions on this, just let me know.   Here’s that link again for the Debt Scholarship Essay.
